I was at First Subang Mall for a property launch. By the time I was done with it, it was already late. So I spotted this place and thought should try it out. It is actually a small café and looked busy when we walked in. We were attended almost immediately.
After checking out the menu, we ordered spicy buttermilk chicken and garlic ocean prawn olio. We waited for a while for the food to arrive. It could be due to lunch crowd on weekend.
The Spicy butter milk chicken comes with a portion of rice, fried rice with herbs actually. It was okay however no spicy enough for me. The sauce is buttery and rich. The spaghetti taste good however looked very oily and spicy. In terms of the portion of the dishes, I would say it is sufficient.
The service is generally good and staffs were attentive. We wanted to try out the coffee however skipped that since I was not impressed with our main courses. We had a slice of ‘Belgian chocolate cake with almond nuts. It tasted like a dark chocolate cake with almond nips on the side of the cake. The chocolate topping or ganache is very thin. The cake was dry and I find it average tasting.
The price is decent and affordable. If only they could improvise a little bit, I think this place could be quite ‘happening’.
Visited in September 2013. How would I rate them? The atmosphere 4/5, Service 4/5, F&B 3.5/5.
